FYI - My dog is now in MN. I have no idea how to get her back other than civil court - which they would never show up for. I feel terrible. I should have never let her stay there. They havent answered the door or calls in so long and I was still trying to be nice. I'm an idiot. moping

I am sorry Dana.comfort hug

You have nothing to feel bad about. Out of the goodness of your heart, you tried to make a family know the love of a dog. Since they took her with them, I think you succeeded...hug

Can you just go and open the basement door and call for the dog? He/she will probably just come running out.. that way you don't have to enter the house?
