I have great neighbors. We all speak and watch out for one another. I don't know the neighbors further down the street but we always raise our hands in hello to one another.

I think my dog probably annoys my neighbors to the right of me, as their dog NEVER barks! My neighbors to the left of me tell me they love it when they hear my dog because that means we are out playing and she's "keeping an eye on things"! What a great attitude!

pubwrite08: We got the code enforcer, we live in a township. A friend came to visit. He drove from New Jersey. He stayed a weekend and left. But while he was here Mr Code Enforcer was standing outside writing down his license plate #.

When I saw one of my neighbors selling pot right out front.. I started doing the same thing!!
had a list of about 40 plates, and I would do it while they were sitting in their carrolling on the floor laughing
for some reason... we had a lot less traffic after thatconfused

My nearest neighbour is about 150 yds away. He's a nice old geezer and he owns the donkey that is or maybe was - I can't remember if it's still there - on one of my profile pics.
He used to steal from me but he got the message that I didn't like it so he's stopped doing that. I told him through an interpreter that I would rather give him some cash than find my favourite screwdriver gone, just when I needed it. This is an admirable arrangement.
He's a bit hard of hearing and when I didn't understand a word of what he was saying he would repeat it at double the volume, thinking that he was talking too quietly.
Recently I've been downloading music from YouTube, mostly Italian oldies by Domenico Modugno like Volare and Ciao Ciao Bambino, and playing these over and over (and singing along) as loud as I can to see if anyone complains, but so far no reaction of any sort. In the other direction is the village cemetery and I haven't heard anything from them either.
