massage thearpy is good for pain anywhere in your body that you may have. i have had to have massage thearpy done on one of my legs because the muscles kept cramping up and i got to where i couldn't walk because the cramps were so bad. i went to a chiropracter for it and he done the massage thearpy, eletric shock thearpy (no jokes please), and he popped my knee to lossen the muscles...i also got treatments for my back also so the leg muscles would stay properly in place.

that does sound really nice. i'll have to try to remember that one. i like to use products with lavender and chamomile in it for the calming effect it has. i also like to drink chamomile tea for the relaxation and calming affect.

Muscle cramps in the legs can often be caused by an imbalance Magnesium/potassium/Calcium. I take Magnesium/Calcium supplements and eat a lot of bananas (no jokes please) for their potassium content. That is why a lot of pregnant women often get cramps in their legs; because the foetus pumps the minerals from the woman's body, hence leaving not enough for the woman.

Also, potassium is stripped from the body during sweating, which is why I take a supplement during the summer months. Bananas are a good source, as well as prunes. Drink plenty of water, too, in the heat.

I just yesterday heard from a personal trainer friend of mine that you should not massage the inner calves of a pregnant woman because it can induce labor. Seriously. professor

thanks all. great information. i have actually started taking the oil of olay vitamens for women. there is a multi-vitamin, CoQ10, vitamin B12, and ginseng included. it is also supposed to be an energy formula with these four vitamins taken together.

Ah, here it is, I googled it:

"There are two points on your body that will cause uterine contractions. They are always warned against during pregnancy, though they are widely believed to be another labor inducing method that will not work if you are not already ready to deliver. These points are about four finger-widths above the inner ankle on your calf, and in the webbing between your thumb and forefinger. You will know when you've found the spot because it will be very sore. You rub your calf, or pinch the webbing on your hand, in a circular motion for 30-60 second at a time, taking 1-2 minute breaks in between."
