That sounds like a wonderful idea, Lou! I know I don't get much chance to get to see a film, but I think a lot of us think of the cinema or theatre or a walk as a date thing or something you have to do with a friend.

Fancy ice-skating? I've started a thread for it, cos it's something I've always wanted to try, but never had anyone to try it with. So far, 8 signed up (only one guy, though
). Should be a bit of craic, and then people can decide themselves what they want to do afterwards. I don't drink, so just a meal would do me. Come along, if you can.

Oh I was just thinking - pick a night - pick a time - pick a cinema - like Cineworld in Parnell street and then just meet - in the lobby - see whats starting and just - go in - because i never get to the cinema, i've seen nothing of the new movies - so choosing is easy for me - ina meena mina mo !

Dont you sometimes wish that there were events on that weren't centred round pubs...like theatre trips, or museum/art gallery visits...or a plain old walk in some historical part of our lovely country
Is there some one thing you'd really love to do...but...would prefer a bit of company doing it...
I always wish i had a cinema buddy...if i posted a cinema trip...would anyone come? I heard a theory that ... if you post it ... they will come
