Depends on the distance and the amount of time you are away from each other.
I'd say it could if you were living across the water in England Scotland or a short flight away in Europe. Cant imagine it working if it was America

I think it depends on the couple and how much "Quality" they manage to fit in to their Quality Time together
Its not really the cost of flights etc its finding time to visit etc...specially if u both have kids. But what if u had never met but were having a relationship..how long can that go on for without ever meeting?

well jim and me have a relationship, he is in scotland and me here in dublin, we have 12 kids between us....and so far 8 months down the road we are going strong....its hard sometimes but we get thru them....and when we are together every minute then is precious to us.....
