Your honesty is so real, Jim, thank you. I grew up a bias against the British Army from what happened in Northern Ireland (who didn't ?). But you have changed that with your postings here on CS, to where I now respect men prepared to risk their life in battle. It was great to see you wear your Army Uniform at Nuala's daughters wedding. Maybe, just maybe Ireland has moved on from "The Troubles".

I didn't wear my uniform at Nualas daughters wedding ... it was the scottish national dress... My uniform was turnrned in.... medals were put in beside my mum.....only physical thing thats left is Nualas nightshirt??? bullet hole an all??? Not one thing left except the badges my son takes to schooljimbhoy: Are You ??????? Didnt look carefully enough, yes of course - the kilt !. My brother is ex-Irish Army and he used to wear his ceremonial uniform to special occasions. Didnt know you had taken a bullet - close one that.

Add to it that I was threated by a marine insurance company that they would have me charged with "aiding and abetting priacy", get that parott of my shoulder;
That I spend my winter tracking japanese whaling ships in the antarctic, that I intend on taking part in Dakar, and going around the world on my Harley; throw in the whiskey drinking, harley driving, tatooed, truck driving, granny, who lives alone in a valley, dates men who are old enough to know better but young enought to be my son, add the lifestyle of self sufficiency all fueled with illegal brewed liquor and the honey from the hives a little :smoke: and really ......
would have been burnt at the stake years ago, now, hell I just don't care anymore, just wake up happy every morning.....just wished happy could make breakfast and feed the animals
