There is something funny about that all that has started recently . There dog has become obsessed with all doors should be closed. So she goes thru the house closeing doors, and if my friend goes outside her dog will go and shut the door. Well one time my friend got locked outside, by her dog. So now she has to keep an emergency key out there in case her dog locks her out of the house.
venere08: My beautiful god is booked in at the Animal Hospital to be euthanased tomorrow evening. I posted about this on another thread, so I will not repeat.
So you see, dogs dying is a sensitive issue with most of us dog/animal lovers.

Oh...I forgot...I had mine lock me out once, too. I was on the back patio, and the piece of wood that can be put in place to lock the sliding glass door was leaning up out of the way, and my rambunctious dogs managed to knock it in place...effectively locking me out. Thankfully, I carry my keys in my pocket, but it meant that in the dark I had to walk across my yard, unlock the gate, go around to the front and let myself in, and then go back across the yard in back to lock the gate. I have a new type of latch that is not easy to lock and unlock in the dark, so it took a while to do all of this...and it was dark or small crescent on the moon, or overcast, so not even moonlight to help me out.
Believe me, on the way back out the back door to lock the gate, I moved that block of wood totally out of the doorway.
venere08: JLW...WHATEVER YOUR MEDS...EITHER REDUCE OR INCREASE THE DOSAGE AS REQUIRED.AND RIGHT NOW...IT SEEMS VERY MUCH REQUIRED.

I know you are just being light-hearted jl, but ya know, just for now, pretty please???
I am so sorry - my heart goes out to you.
No matter how many times you experience having a cat or dog pass from this life to the next, it doesn't get any easier. I'm sure I am no different from other pet owners when I say that I will gladly go through the pain because I can't image not having the four-footed furry kids running around.

That is funny, but very inconvenient and scary. Good thing you didn't trip in the dark and you had keys on you.
X_REBEL: ...now you know why some men prefer dogs above women...
And the other way round, X.
And I have never known a man to be able to give me the kind of unconditional love and a smile that I just can't help smiling, every time I look at the face and eyes of any dog I have ever had.
I grieve for what seems for ever over the loss of my canine friend, or any other 4-legged friend I have had to part with... ...not so with the loss of a man, where the grieving could be reduced to hours, days at the most.

Thank you, aruza
Yes, I fully agree. I am telling Amber she will soon see her little friends who are waiting for her. And the pain of losing her while she can still smile that smile of hers will be worth it, knowing she will leave us still full of trust that we have always looked out for her.

I can understand why too...cause the moment a man dies, the woman will think about the life insurance she'll be getting outa the "deal"...

Perhaps some women do, X.
And some women would be left destitute without it.
It is not relevant in my case though where I fend for myself, but need to take out such insurance so my son is taken care of if something were to happen to me tomorrow.

I found you your princess, and she is here, and from your neck of the woods no less. How could you have missed her? And where were you when I was there reassuring her that you would not be far. That was...heck...days ago.
I am not up to it right now, but Sommer will point you in her direction as she should recall who it is, or locate the post.
Call out, gently, and I am sure she will hear you.
Honestly...........
... do I have to hold your hand every step of the way
jlw45: i once dated a woman that had a little dog....while making love, one night...the little dog jumped on the bed and stuck his cold nose to my butt....the strange thing was,i liked it............. JUST KIDDING
You're lucky only having a dog. Try a cat for a change. One liked it to jump on my back during the same activity and seemed to enjoy the movement! And the lady below me was very irretated when I packed up laughing, coz she didn't notice!
