Anyone (psuedonym lol) have any hot tips for us?

We have no plans but I MUST check out a winery or 5, check out a church or 2, go to beach and also get pissed!!

Any places you can recommend? places we should avoid? Any uselful tips at all..?

Hey Louwave

Adelaide is buzzing, and right now we have the Tour Down Under. Pity about the copper's bike causing all those injuries yesterday!

Feb is a fab month to be here especially. You will love it. Then report back to all the knockers here who have no idea how great our city is, and the fab State we are in. Just about anything is here, from beaches to wineries, to desert regions up north. And tons in between.

A great city beach is Henley Beach. For resort style feel, go to the 'The Bay' in Glenelg, just hop on to the new tram at Victoria Square and take you straight there.

Choice of 2 main winery districts. The Barossa is in the countryside, north of Adelaide, gorgeous spots there. And McLaren Vale in the south about 40min from city, near southern beaches, such as Aldinga. Fab hills regions, with famous Adelaide Hills with quaint townships, then also walking trails...

Let me know more specifically and will try to help with info. Rundle Street on the East End, in the city is a great little place, tones of cafes, restaurants, little boutiques, then on other under of Rundle Street is the shopping mall.

Festival Fringe and Festival of Arts and Womadelaide, huge music festival, are all coming up Feb/March.

Anyway, enjoy!

hi lou

venere is right on the money with her response, there are lots of things to do in adelaide and surrounds, and if you want surf , you'll need to follow thready's advice and head to the southern beaches near victor harbour, or across to yorke peninsula

sorry i haven't answered sooner but we've been in the sand dunes in the south east of the state quad bike riding this weekend.
you've got my number lou, let me know when you are in town and maybe we can set you straight on where to go and where to get info etc.
