Well well well. First time back here for me in a few years and this is the first thread i read for a catch up. Nice to see some reminiscing of the boom times on this forum. But alas I agree, it seems a ghost town now
apparently , Malcolm was ill during a concert tour a few years ago, and his nephew who is the spitting image of him, filled his spot on stage, played as well as Malcolm , and no-one was the wiser
Hi all, just popped in to say g'day. lots has happened since i was last here. i lost both my parents in the last six months but gained two grandsons (twins). life in general has been very busy.
wishing you all well, and hope everyone here is fine and happy
the $1000 is more typical land rover than diesel, most services on toyota diesels (except majors) are between $400-$500 (200 series landcruiser can be more though, depending on advantage service or not)
farken' oath we should be. why should this nation lay down and be walked over by it's migration policy? and by the same notion, all the beliefs and customs of our immigrants should be welcomed, and encouraged, and even showcased , so we can all gain a better understanding of them, celebrate our multicultural society, and live together in harmony as one emerging nation
well get used to them people, they are the popular trend, and traditional 4wd manufacturers like jeep, are currently designing a new range of 2wd suv type family wagons, that will be the same dimensions as 4x4's but cheaper because they dont have the extra mechanical bits like transfer cases and front diffs. and honestly when there is a need for mum to transport a family , what are the options? people movers, tarago's etc, or 4x4's. either way they are large cumbersome vehicles in a cbd or shopping precinct environment, but i cant see it being very easy to get two or three kids under 5 and a family worth of weekly groceries into a yaris. JMHO
just found out i'm gunna be a grandpa to twins. had thought about it before and was quietly looking forward to the day it happened, but now it's actually happening, i'm more excited than i ever thought i would be. life has so many surprises
i once had a relationship with buster off mythbusters, that ended badly and the children have suffered so much ever since buster met another crash test dummy
a mate of mine was driving road trains and had a nasty, unable to describe here, incident. not his fault, but the "so called" professional driver that was speeding rolled his rig whilst travelling the opposite way, in front of my mates road train, causing the road train driver to take evasive action and cleaned up a retired couple in a campervan. the verdict, speed caused the accident
when there are too many roos, we cull them, when there are too many koalas, we cull them, so when there are too many r#%&*@ES we cull them too???? just a thought
whoever told you it's because it's gas only is piddling in your pocket. there are cold start systems in LPG powered cars, and i would say yours isnt working.
cheers for that i'll use it in conjunction with martia's method on the other thread
and for your troubles, some chocolates, strawberries, champagne and a big bunch of flowers, and to martia, a voucher to the value of $800 for any of the south australian short holiday packages, suitable for a romantic getaway for her and her beau
i ride a bike and i must remove my helmet anywhere that has a cash register. On cold days i might wear a balaklava under that helmet,if i removed my helmet and just walk down the street with the balaklava on, i can almost guarantee the first police officer that saw me would question me, and guess what? i'm glad i live in a place where the police are able to do that.
motorcycling should be declared a religion, then it would be ok to leave our helmets and balaklavas on
RE: What happened to the locals?
I left early in 2009. It hasn't been the same since ????
