When was the last time you recieved an Infringement Notice????

Well I got one this arvo and it was like the top of the f..... day...

Worked too hard for a Saturday and didn't get any further ahead in my work goals.

But after the so call police young teenagers hiding at the bus stop and handing a speeding ticket the question was asked have you recieved a infringement Notice before and I had to think ....

My reply was I would of some time ago...But it made me think it would of been a good 10 to 15 years ago.

A decent person who would not ordinarly speed gets a f..... fine of $200.00, must be pay back for not getting one for some years....

Just had to whinge for a Saturday....

I think these days State Government Revenue Officers disguise themselves as cops and go and catch speeding motorists, the scurge of the roads ...

I was booked $333.00 and four points some weeks back for doing 83km on a 60km four laned road that run along the waterfront in the middle of the night ... I was the only car and of course the parked off the road in the bishes cop car ...

I hear ya and I share your pain ... thats just how it is these days .... easy revenue for the coppers and they dont need to start their engines so great profits to be had ....

I remenber years ago getting done at a school zone for something (some bit over speed probaly) and not having the licence on me at time as doing night shift work in those days and just dropping kids off then going to sleep....

So pain I had to produce it at a station....

Ahuh roll eyes

Back then the fine was around $120 a pop and FOUR points off your licence! So I lost 8 points over it in one month!

They must have got a big backlash over it, cos they subsequently reduced the demerit points .. but raised the fine amount of course mumbling

I would like to know where all this money goes. It sure isn't on the roads or road safety or extra police. I have heard the cameras will soon be manned by civilians, if not already.

It's revenue raising pure and simple

My only ticket was around 15 yrs ago. I refuse to give the government any more of my money.

Maybe if they didn't change the speed limit every couple of hundred metres ppl would be able to keep their eyes on the road and reduce accidents.

A week ago, $150 for speeding. Its like throwing money down the toilet. Haven't had an infringement for years. Must admit impatience came into it, as the person infront of me was doing 35k's and all over the road, put foot down to pass and a few yards up the road, out jumps a policeman. bugga. wow

This has been the longest post I have ever seen from you comfort

I haven't had an infringement notice for years, but I think I am just lucky. No, I never speed, it is the speedo that sometimes shows incorrect values...

Sad to hear that. It is pretty bad, especially when the bills are so expensive. You can challenge them at court. Someone did it and obtained the speed camera they use and proved that it was unreliable, as a concrete fence he tested it on was travelling by a certain speed.

I heard you should avoid answering them. Maybe just tell "I did not speed" rather that "I don't know the speed limit". If you don't admit it they need to prove you were speeding.

Two within three weeks about six months ago! The fist one doing 115 in a 100km zone along a split four lane highway divided with safety barriers 2 points

The second 60km in a 60 zone $75 dual lane divided road again? Both times after dropping the kid of to her mum on a Sunday.

Yes I speed all the time! It keeps my mind alert and my car away from all the DH on the road!
I normally start work at 6am, so I see all the half asleep jerks on the road or half pissed from the night before! People who’s car windows are all fogged up so they cant see out of them or their mirror!

By the way I am a professional driver, as I am on the road ten hours a day and getting paid for it!

I was driving in an 80km zone the other day, doing 80 and l was passed and this idiot who then turns off about half a km up the road and in that short distance was getting a lot further away from me...he was doing a lot more than 80kms. I never speed and refuse to be pushed up the road by any idiot who does.

Awww I hate when it happens to you or me especially when we aren't even speeding just a few clicks over the limit doesn't it just bloody wreck your day. very mad I am not so lucky as am on the road a lot so have had two in the last year lucky didn't loose demerit points cause I wasn't speeding naturally. Suck it up everyone just another excuse to make easy money out of us cause they never seem to catch the real speed freeks that are a danger on our roads. Of course they are parked behind a bush when it is peek hour when people can't speed just as long as we go a bit over the limit that is all that matters and of course they are parked at the bottom of a hill behind a bush aren't they. All I can say peeps slow down on the hill dunno They should be on the open road catching the real dangerous drivers.

That would depend on what you call speeding? Driving in WA along gravel roads no wider than four metres at 110km per hour most of my life to be tolled a four lane surfaced divided road that I am only allowed to do 60km?

It would all depend on what you call speeding and what some local government decided what speed you can drive at?

As I said before I am a professional driver! I drive at the speed that the road and conditions are appropriate!

But I will never drive below those limits!
