rusty_knight: I guess one can find fault with almost any job on a moral or environmental or values basis (mind you, the charity sector can be excellent to work in, and can be very remunaritive if you're a paid employee instead of a volunteer)...........

however, Lagoona has a valid point - the worst job of all is looking for a job when you're down to zero resources and even getting to a job interview means you are getting further into debt with no guarantee that you'll be 'lucky'.

Even in a world recession MOST people have jobs........... but to be one of the over 20% unemployed, for example, in Spain is no consolation to be told that almost 8 out of 10 people in the job market have lost (whoops - delete 'lost') a job.

To be unemployed for those willing and able to work must be the worst sitiation possible - it's then a case, in most of the world, of pure survival....either you find work or rely on charity or steal what you need to survive, or die!

In biblical times when fields were harvested a small amount of the crop was left........ people who had no food could help themselves to what they needed to survive - and it was not considered stealing!
