Some of my best friends are ex's. The only one I don't keep in touch with was the dishonest, cheating one. Why bother?
And though it is killing me, I am still trying to get along with my stb-ex, since I want my kids to see us being civil. That is my number one goal is not have nasty displays. If not for the kids, though, we wouldn't talk...at least at this point.
I am still on the internet with my first wife that I divorced 40 years ago. We stay in touch. The woman I divorced two years ago and I are in constant touch. The woman who divorced me twenty five years ago, and I speak when we must for out children's sake
I think i cant unless i am totally over him..so i can truly say iam here for him as a "friend"...because sometimes when you still have some feelings for the person and still wanted to see and know how he have been we usually say "lets be friends" though inside you are hoping maybe one day you can be together again. i dont know with others but this is just me
sweetowen: Have you remained friends with your exes?
I like to remain friends because I figure that even though things may not have worked out in the relationship, a lot of times they can make great friends!
Very rarely but I have with a few. Have had alot of bad breaks, but probably just as many good ones.
