The places we flirt (29)

Sitting at the airport in Las Palmas waiting for my flight back home. Finally...

It have been four long weeks and I am really missing my own bed, the pets and the neighbours around.

While traveling I have found that flirting is a big past time among the people, it seems to have no limits, age and gender (!) all cast aside, there is the traditional glans of an eye coming back time after time to the intense eye-lock that is impossible to avoid.

What is it that sets it off? The innocence of it, the very public place with all that surveillance makes it safe, or is it simply that those that travels with planes must have some kind of order in their life?

I have no answer, it is great fun to watch and take part of it, but then it struck me - it is the same on all travels... wither with bus, train, air or ship.

Have you too noticed, do you have your own favourite places and situations where you become a flirtatious being?

I´m not sure Mike, sometimes friendliness is mistaken for flirting, that´s happened to me many times, and I´m always surprised when a man interprets my friendly nature the wrong way.

Last year some of my students bought me a beautiful handheld fan, and inside the box were instructions about how to use it for sending unspoken messages to a possible suitor.

It was so interesting to learn how in the past, the Spanish ladies used the positioning of their fans to flirt with men..... and sometimes to reject them.

Flirting is great fun...however I do agree with Jan, there is a fine line between flirting and being friendly...and they can be mistaken

A great saying I try to live by:

Always look happy, wherever you go, as you never know who falls in love with your smile

So when I smile...am I flirting?? Do men see that as flirting??



AND DON'T TELL ME I SHOULD KNOW THE ANSWER BY NOW

Maybe I am calling all curiosity past a point "flirting", I do not venture too far along that line... I need to safe my guns for "the one".

For the Spanish fans... they still have the skills, without the fan they use eye lashes batting in a very advanced way - sometimes almost with a magic behind it.

Beware of the Latina with a mission

Ok... here needs example....

She is sitting opposite of me, some 20 meters between the rows of chairs.

I am reading my book, having a coffee, she is reading a book too, but does not really. Instead she is surfing around checking out people, she is an attractive girl, and knows it.

But then she go back to this single guy in front of her, his luggage still on the cart not yet checked in. She pick up details as if registering something bit by bit, all the time returning to his face as if looking for a response.

When he does in the end see her, she straighten her neck slightly, taking in his features and then do a quick around check, and returns to his face. She moves some heir to the side, looks at him still and then gives a short smile.

He do not clearly respond to the smile, he have the book catching his attention but have got affected by the female at his opposite. He raises his eyes again, waiting and she is quick to be back in the eye-lock, now both gives and approving smile.

Flirting?

I would say it is...

True, this is the Italian "vibes" being heard!

No wonder we choose Rome this spring...

Bedroom, coffee shop(not the amsterdam kind but paris kind), in the street...Loads of places..I've just spent the last 5days flirting with the most amazing woman that I've ever met..
