A good friend I have had the pleasure of meeting here in Wisconsin has had a terrible thing happen to her and her family. Her only brother, Al, was involved in an accident Saturday night. His arms, legs, and ribs, were broken; his lungs, pancreas, and stomach, were punctured. They called the family together last night because he had taken a turn for the worse, and they told them he wouldn't live through the night. He remains alive at the moment. A fact I believe that may have something to do with all the prayers that are being said for him. If you believe, please say a prayer for Al E... recovery tonight. My friend lost her father 3 months ago, she doesn't need the loss of her brother as well. Al was a truck driver, he fell asleep at the wheel. He has a wife, (that he adores), and three children.
I beleive in prayer and God and would be more than happy to pray for your friend.
The very same thing happened to my ex-husband (my son's father) two weeks ago. They had him on life support for 2 days. My son and I prayed together that night. The next morning when we called about his condition, the nurses said he was mouthing off to the nurses. Prayer works.
I also believe prayer works. It may work in his recovery, or the family's ability to deal with his loss, but I believe it works. Thank you for your support, Assets52. Joe.
I believe in the power of prayer and I will pray for Al ... as well as for his family and for the doctors and nurses who are helping him. I pray that God's will be done and that the family will receive strength and comfort during this time. Thank you Joe for sharing.
She has been informed of this thread, and the prayers it represents. Just a note..4 other truckers that know Al and his family are at this moment keeping a vigil for him at the hospital in Madison, WI. These guys took off of work, some up to 4 days, to support Al. Thats got to say something about his character. Thanks for your help, Gardener. Joe
