something: The ideal age for a couple is for the woman to be half the man's age plus seven years. IE if the man is 16 half his age is 8 + 7 = 15. man 20 woman 17 man 40 woman 27 man 50 woman 32 and so on. hope this helps
I believe this formula was devised in or around Victorian times to prevent 50 to 60 year old men from marrying 18 year old debutantes and it is not at all relevant today.
