I think that it's possible for a 5-10 year difference to work - but I wouldn't be interested in a relationship that is just dating - I would be curious to find out if it could grow to something long term. If it's based on looks - we all know how those fade - wondering if the 10 yr younger man would be ready to bolt when he's 50 and she's 60...just something I've been pondering.

Dawn7z: I think it comes down to a meeting of the minds as for me I have dated someone 10 years younger and in fact when I was dating it seemed like most of the men were a bit younger but overall if it's more than a couple of years it's out of my comfort zone.
Again, i think alot to be said for matched maturity levels, Some are as mature at 35 as some 50, but i do think the closer age catigory has more in common overall. Just another opinion, that dont mean i am right, Just right for me

I spent 22yrs with my x-wife and married 17 yrs of that. She was 5 yrs older than me, dated 2 more 5 yrs older than me after that, and it DIDNT WORK FOR ME
So for me to do it again might almost be silly on my part, I havent had good luck with older ones, so its no for me!

Me being probably one of the older men on CS I have dated women 10 and 15 years younger than I am. Each of us were seeking something and I guess we attempted to find it with the other person. I have met and dated nice ladies my age also.
The younger you are the more this is an issue in my opinion. As you get older age doesn't mean as much as compatibility, pesonaility, intelligence and activities.
If I find that special lady I don't believe I will concern myself if she is younger or older than I.

Well I should qualify in the year that I did most of my major dating following my divorce it wasn't very successful for me. I am a dating disaster so who cares about the age thing in that case lol.
