Noticed how all the posters who wish for more serious debate and give out about presumed cliques, unconsciously become a clique themselves, wishing to PC police the site. They will use humour in their posts when it suits them but criticize others for using humour if it doesn't suit their agenda. Think there's room for everyone's style of posting on CS imho

Yes I agree and like the room for everyone's style. By virtue of this and that which prompted you to post this proves that. Dosn't it?

sirLarryIII: Nope.Who's to define whats "normal" and whats not when in different countries accepted normalities are completely different from each other?
Surely a man of your intelligence can figure out where or with the challenge lay

That would be the job of the philosophers I'd say. If something is not true at all times, in all places and in all ciccumstances, then it is a fallacy. Take violence for instance. When is it ok to initiate violence against somebody? I don't mean self-defence, that's not initiating violence. I mean, when is it ok to go up to somebody and attack them or rob them or kidnap them? Never, right? But we find, in our own country and time a group of people who think it is ok to do just that if they have a special costume with the word 'Garda' written on it.
When is it ok to steal someones property? Never, right? But we have people who will scribble some writing on a paper in the Oireachtas and say it gives them the power to steal.
We don't have to go to other countries to find people who live outside the accepted norms of a civilised society. And that's no laughting matter

Your right Face, this is a weak minded self degraded society riddled with cancer, addiction and suicide. But as a deluded majority ruled by a scumbag elite they have had not yet enough suffering yet in order to wake up and take more responsibility for their own lives, which makes me ashamed to be Irish.
Fraya: It is. My apologies. I'm as guilty of making assumptions as anyone else here....and they abound so they do
Your grand Fraya,im just curious as to what you getting at.Im a direct person and deal in direct language.Hinting at things and subtitle indirectness doesn't work for me. Im completely openminded with a neck made of pure leather and won't attack you for being critical of me if you have a valid point.Im the least perfect person i know.

It's not just Ireland Larry. The entire globe is covered with this double-think. Everybody thinks we are just one more law or one great leader away from salvation. But you know the world is changing fast and there is a chance it will change too fast for the dinosuars of government and State. For instance, in a decade we will have self-drive cars. How will the cops bust you for drunk driving a self-drive car?

Jaysus I thought I was being direct. I don't know another way. What was the point again? Oh yeah...It takes all kinds to make this thing spin on its pivot. How you react is your responsibility.
