I used to hang up my Canadian flag on July 1st when I lived in Que. It ticked off the ex, and sometimes it would get me into trouble with neighbors.(once the ex's tires were slashed ... but the kids that did it were caught and their parents had to pay.) On St Jean Baptist I would go into hiding. If I hung up the Canadian Flag, on that day, it could get very nasty.

Flags, rags, whatever; I believe that people have a right to put up whatever flag of whatever country or gas station they want, even flags of unknown countries(!), including old yak banners of the Mongol hordes of Genghis khan or any other old, once existed countries, Kingdoms or whatever. I'm still waiting to see the official new flag of The New World Order...just another rag but with the dollar sign in perhaps a wreath of ivy or roses...laugh
(send 29.95 and get a flag of an unknown country!)

We did not live in those places. Ex was anti anglophone ... so was his family ... The town we lived had many problems with anglophones. Some due to isolation and a lot to do with the mining company. The company bosses expected the employees to speak English. Not fair to the employees or the town.

Last time I looked, Quebec was still part of Canada. If seeing the flag of their country upsets them, they can become their ownvery mad

If you don't wish to stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. There are people risking their lives so that others may enjoy the same freedoms we have here. Especially in Afghanistan.

If you aren't proud enough of the country we live in, feel free to live elsewhere. (not "you" personally but if the shoe fits)thumbs up
