Has anyone tried this site? Do you think it works? What do you think they meant with the statement claiming ‘they ensure compatibility based on the 29 dimensions crucial for relationship success?’ What are the 29 dimensions? Anyone?
confused

Quite some time ago, I took the "questionnaire". I wasn't impressed with the results. It didn't ring true to me or resemble much of what I have experienced through work related psychological/personality/style testing. I did not follow through with posting a profile as such based on my experience with the results, but it may work for others. dunno

To me... I'd rather rely on me and magic!!! smitten

cool

Thank you B and D

I wonder if anyone here knows of anyone that has actually used it – it will be interesting to see if it really works! By the way, what do you think about POF – I found it very crazy – too many weird people. Who knows, perhaps it is just my luck?
dunno

i think I'm gonna try a new system to meet people-ladies..Moving Oct 31 st is a good start..Then I'm gonna throw my computer out the window..Buy a Jag Rag and get off this dam chair and go out and actually meet living breathing people...Like the old days..
The 28 Dimensions are most likely the number of times your credit card will be billed before ya say..Hey this is a scam LOL!

Where are you moving? and I agree with you - meeting people like on the old days is what we all need to do - I may have to join you on that thought - I am also tired of looking at my computer every day. moping

Note: re 29 dimensions - you are probably right = times your credit card is used - grin

I was on POF for that reason - going out to ethnic dinners -etc.. but found the some of the people very clicky, it is a great way to get out and meet people with out pressure. I always took a friend so it was a good time anyway.
I don't know if this site doesn't have enough interested people or an older dynamic of people. We had a coffee group and a couple of ethnic nights (Thanks to Foxy) but it was only a few of the same people that came out.

I wonder if we should try to get together again. Maybe this time, there will be more people interested in meeting in person (including me)? It could be nice to have a gathering before the snow comes - what do you think? conversing

Me.. I think POF is a waste of time, half the time you never get a response, the other half, well some of them seem ok at first, later turn out to be flakes, and the rest..well you take your chances. I met one woman on there, and she seemed fine....at first, then I was introduced to her kids (what a couple of monsters they were). The very second I walked into her place, she couldn't seem to get out of her cloths fast enough.. that's when I said, sorry but I just remembered I left my stove on.. I got out and never went back..
I also read criagslist (rants and raves section mostly)and a few weeks ago some guy posted that he had 3 different profiles on POF 1 was of him, and the other 2 were female.. one female was posted as outgoing, wild adventious, bascially looking for a good time..while the other was the complete oppisite (spelling boo-boo) Calm, religious, and looking only for friends. In his criagslist posting, he stated both of his female posts got virtualy the same messages, all from guys looking for just one thing..yup you know what I mean.. so although I do still have a profile on POF..I don't even bother going there anymore..lesson learned

Yes, that is crazy!!
I think POF has become the gathering place of people who can pretend anything they want, from married people to drug addicts and liars - A very creepy place now!

I was on eharmony for 6 months and it was a waste of money. Firstly, just because you might have a lot in common with someone, that does not mean that either of you are going to find the other person physically attractive and I think we would all agree that physical attraction is a must if there is going to be a relationship. Then after awhile the site gets in a panic and matches you up with people hundreds if not thousands of miles away. What's the point???

As for POF, it is indeed very clicky. Maybe one quarter of the members communicate with another quarter of the other members. the remaining half are pretty much invisible. If you are not above average looking then you are wasting your time more often than not emailing anyone because more than likely your message will be deleted. I enjoy the forums there which is about the only reason I still have a profile there other than the faint hope that I might actually bump into someone nice and genuine.

Regardless of the venue (or dating site in this case) I think its what you make of it. If you venture into any dating site expecting to find the 'one' then you're only fooling yourself.
