serene56: As far as the dog that bit me this afternoon, as I pushed on with my walk, a woman pulled over in a car and asked if I was ok? (that was nice).. she saw it happen.

When I returned, I walked home via a different route, just in case, jumped in my car and went to the owner's house (the dog was back behind the side gate).

He was gobsmacked when I told him the dog had bitten me, apologised profusely and said he would fix the faulty latch on the gate.

I told him that I was ok, but suggested that had it been a young child or someone/anyone else, they would have had no hesitation in putting in a complaint to the council, let alone the possibility of a small child being bitten on the face
You are to kind Serene that dog should be put down . Next person may not be so lucky . If it happened here the owner could well be on his way to jail as well .

serene56: Was going for an afternoon walk and a neighbour's dog which usually stands at their gate barking was out on the street.

It came towards me, barking, I shooed it away and it came up and bit me on the back of my leg.

I yelled at it, it backed off and came in low, growling, for another go but I stood my ground and yelled at it .. it ran away still barking.

Glad you are ok serene bouquet carry a big stick when walking.

Other than dog bite hope you are enjoying your time off work.bouquet
