Howcome no-one these days says a "Welcome" to the new forum members making postings?
There`s all those nice emoticons to use .... Don`t you think it would be nice to say a Welcome?
Okay, so they don`t introduce themselves properly with the Introduction thread ... but still, no excuse to not be polite to the visitors ... maybe they might feel at home and stay a bit longer?
Bump ....... So many nice new folk here on the EU Forum ... and not one teeny weeny little "Hi, welcome".........?
I`m not saying anything cause I think I drive them away - so you other guys should do it .. huh?
I know he`s an old hand here ... but I would like to say Hi and Welcome to our dear friend Zambe ....... He has some good ideas, he just needs more training in how to be perfect and how to write opinions not insults......
You are right - it is easy to forget to welcome newbies - but on the other hand there are so many
Have a great night Smoky

Oooh yes, took me about - gee... so long ago I cant even remember exactly ... probably about at least 2 weeks of just reading before having the nerve to put something in writing!...IN WRITING! And I was so nervous of offending anyone!
I told one lady her make-up looked terrific ... and she got all upset and said she doesnt wear ANY make-up (but she had big red jewby lips and dark stuff round her eyes.........? oops)
So, I also learned I better not make any comments about the beautiful wigs, hair implants, etc etc ... yah, you learn to be diplomatic along the way ....... and look at me now! .... I am the Epitome of Diplomacy - sometimes I`m even polite and two-faced. Actually I don`t even tell many lies anymore even!
u2Kitty: Your statements about diplomacy, politeness and being twofaced reminds me so much of a certain Mr. Rusty Knight???
Hope not that i insulted You now - but You 2 guys sometimes has an equal way in expressing Your gordious humour Smoky.
Kitty
Ah yes ... Mr Rusty Crusty Knight .. The Honorable Pimple of Gozo .... the Vice President of Volcanoes & Everything Eruptable including the Gozo Garbage Dump (its the Gozo Mountain actually) recycled from garbage in the shape of a mountain and contains erupting methane gas which realy could be harvested and used for internal combustion or cooking but no-one realy cares as long as it just remains a dump for garbage so they dont have to throw the garbage into the sea and scare away the tourists. Talking of which - I wonder WHAT they do with the sewerage.....? I needing some Maltese enlightenment here on this subject, so it can be discussed at the next meeting of the EU since Malta is now a member too... I know what happens to the Swiss sewerage, but not the Maltese`s..... We got vegetable farms here ...... do they grow veges in Malta and Gozo...?
Ja! You could be Zambe, and Zambe could be YOU! .... or you could be Nettie ......... .. or Nettie could be YOU
You seè? We all who we supposed to be. Well I was supposed to be Royalty but there was a mix up somewhere along the line, but I`m cool .... just living in Switzerland is good enough for me!

Now THAT is a Nightmare-Scenario,especially since Rimmy might be somewhere in the mix as well.
