it didn't work
My mother phoned to my school to tell my teachers that my grandmother died and I’s to relieved from the school because of that. They did. While walking home, age 17, last class, I threw into weeds that I’s passing, my German books, textbooks and dictionaries (the last were rather expensive and rare books – my grandma insisted on me to speak German, and I loved her, and as a child you have not that much to object…). I am Russian. I speak English when and if. I speak German when and if. I speak when and if. It’s a matter of my good will, nothing else.
I tried to wish you a merry Christmas in russian..but it did not take the translation...

Well… Merry Christmas in Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Ethiopian et al. is supposed to happen 2 weeks after the Lutheran and the Catholilc one. Just a matter of a calendar actually.
And there’s off course a spirit, as usual…
