So... my sister just told me about an awesome true story of a haunting on North Haven Island off the coast of Rockland,Me
She said she had to stay at a house that in the wintertime there is open as an inn...but one time she had to stay there alone..and this place was haunted! ( I was really surprised to hear this from her because she used to be a skeptic) She told me that at night she'd wake up at 3 am and see a man standing at the foot of her bed! (and vanish)
Well... she said that one time.. she was there with her kids and some coworkers and everyone was sitting at the dinner table and they heard a lady scream.. first some of them tried to brush it off as a bird or something..but it happened again and definitely sounded like a woman's voice. I asked her if anyone tried to check it out..she said..no they were too scared..lol.
So..other things happened like hearing footsteps, feeling unwelcome and watched. But the scariest thing that happened was that as they were trying to load up their stuff in the car to leave... all of the car doors locked..there was no one around them or near the car..and the key was in the ignition... so it was as if they were being trapped there and someone or something didn't want them to leave. They had to call a locksmith.. who tried to unlock them with no luck..and Finally all of the doors but the driver's side unlocked on their own!.. after that..they got the hell outta there!

I just heard this story..and of course.. I want to go there and spend a night there.. who's with me?

P. S. I also hear that the Knox Center (old Knox General Hospital) is haunted, that the cries of babies can still be heard... Also, Masonic street is supposed to be haunted..that whole area near the court house is

Helping spirits... of departed loved ones:

The next dream was of my cousing Mindi who passed away unexpecantly at the age of 34 of diabetes, stroke/anorexia back in March,2008. We were all in Shock. I immediataly light a candle for her and called out to her to let her know that I'll be here if she needed me, that she was welcome to visit me and that I loved her and will miss her.

A month later I had a visit from her: She was small and frail like a little girl. She was in a baby basket. Everyone thought she was dead, but she wasn't. Her eyes opened but she was in a coma.

Then my dream took me to her funeral...

(FYI, I didn't go to her funeral.. she lived in Michigan, and I live in Maine and I just was unable to go)

Everyone was there, but Mindi wasn't dead. I wasn't crying. She started talking to me. She said that she tried to talk to everyone else, but no one else could hear her. She needed help. Her body was twisted adn she was bluish. She told me she wanted to walk, but her legs wouldn't work and she was very scared.

I told her, "This is your cousin. I'm here to help you and I love you."
and she said, "I know, I love you too".

Then I had a flash: back to before the funeral: My Uncle: He didn't want to come out of the limo, it was very hard for him and he didn't want to give the Eulogy, her brother had to do it instead.

During my waking hours prior to the dream and still after.. I have been finding Dimes everywhere in my house, all around me wherever I go... (still to this day, even people who are close to me find dimes and know it's here)

Another story.. I swear Mindi was there: Walmart..lol..I was returning an item and needed the money back for it (a shirt, now that I recall) anyhow, I gave the cashier the bag with the shirt..and she said "do you have the reciept in there?" I said "keep looking it should be in there"...and she said, "well... I can't find it.. I found a dime do you want that?" I smiled and said, "Mindi" to myself... then immediatly after finding the dime the cashier found the reciept! ..lol... and I said, "thanks Mindi" :)

Well...I'm sure as I come across more of my Paranormal Dreams or continue to dream, I'll share more with you all!

Another Paranormal Dream: 3/16/08

This foresaw future investiagtion at Jamestowne Island, Jamestown/Williamsburg,VA:

Another Investigator and I were investigating some ancient ruins/archeological dig. with Ghost Hunters International. Brian Harnois was leading the investigation. We had to go deep under a tight crawlspace to check out some ruins where games were played in ancient times.While I was getting on my stomach to crawl under, someone behind me mistook me for his ex-girlfriend .Later in that area, we heard moaning and took some EVP's.

We also visited a private residence where a family's Grandmother had just died. She was very ill, and was on oxygen. She was a sweet old lady. Her family missed her very much. They gave me her patient bracelet to hold to see if I could pick up on any psychic energy or visualize her and I DID see her. She was a Thin lady with white hair wearing a pink bathrobe and nightgown and on oxygen. I tried to comfort the family of their loss.

This next dream, I don't know where this house is, and we have not investigated it as of yet... who knows what the future holds:

12/23/07 Dream:

Peninsula Paranormal Investigators investigated a larger house from the 1800's. I was considering moving into it with my husband (at the time). It was very old, but things were left the same way they were. There were more than one bed in each room. One large room was like a "sick room" There were even medical tubing and urine cups with urine still in them. There must have been a disease back then, and they used the house as a temporary hospital.

There were other investigators there too, like doing a TV show like Paranormal State. There was another investigation in a Wharehouse... I was walking on planks, there were electrical interferences and noises. In the dream, my Father was a Medium and he said that usually females will channel females, and males will channel males and that is where the dream ended in my journal.

I also had a dream (can't find where it was written down, but this was back in Nov or Dec of 2007) that I was visiting a very LARGE graveayard..it was very dark..and had a lot of DARK shadow people lurking there. It was old, and there were broken headstones. nearby was the caretaker's house, who sold the plots there. I went in and saw an old man sell a plot to a middle aged woman, name Mary Hart. She also had a daughter named Mary after her.. said something about her losing her shoes.. that she needed help finding her shoes.. and she was upset and crying and asking for my help. Her name on a headstone was very clear to me...

Well...the next morning when I woke up I looked and looked all over the internet for this headstone... saw several Mary Hart's but some were from the 18oo's. I don't think I came across it until I was on an investigation at the Yorktown National Cemetary for Union Soliders of the Civil War. Behind that very LARGE cemetary (which was closed in by a brick wall) was a smaller more spread out neglected graveyard with broken headstones, like my dream. I took pics of them..and they all made me very sad... some of the graves were placed in odd spots too..just left me bewildered of it. And who did I come across..but little Mary's grave.. broken.. looked like vandalism.



Well I think I took a pic of that headstone, and said some things to her to try to put her soul at peace..and promised to find a way to get that graveyard cleaned up again. Well I posted the pics of the broken graves, and overgrown grass and weeds and disheveled flowers on the internet..and a few weeks later we returned to find that same graveyard, clean and trimmed and looking MUCH nicer!

Have you ever had a dream ABOUT the Paranormal?

Have you ever had a dream with a ghost visiting you? Or if you are an investigator, have you ever had a dream about FUTURE investigations? ... Well.. I have.

Here are some of them, some foretell the future, some are yet to be understood. Other "Paranormal Dreams" are actual visitations of spirits, some are my relatives, some are strangers.. all are seeking help in some way.



A few days before I met another Paranormal team in Hampton,VA I had this dream: 11/09/07

My group teamed up with another group. and Jason and Grant from TAPS on an investigation at an old Plantation Mansion with a pool and large field. The house was a museum by day.

This house was located either on Cook,Rd in Yorktown,Va however it LOOKED like a road in Woolwich,ME or near Brunswick,ME (what used to be there before Cook's Corner was there) cause the road was called: Cook Rd Plantation.

I don't know if this was a real house, but I did recognize the road as a real place in Maine.

(Contradiction: We brought our kids with us, and underaged teens.. in reality that is against our policies) One of the other team's members left their young child in the van outside, alone. My step son and two year old were with me on the investigation (again, in reality we would never do that).

my daughter mainly stayed in the upstairs bedroom which had old, antique toys.

The majority of the group was on the other end of the house with TAPS. I was checking out a bedroom with another team member. I heard snoring/breathing coming from one of the beds and the window near it was open, so I closed it and the noise continued (in reality as much as I don't want to admit this, I was probably snoring and could hear it in my dream!..lol)

That was about all that happened in that room.

My daughter escaped and opened the door to the van and the other member's little baby girl fell out and the mother went running down the stairs after her. I said, "That's why we don't bring kids" I went downstairs too, the only room with light was the kitchen and the two ladies that were caretakers of the house were doing dishes. I was nicely decorated, almost Victorian in style.

Anyhow, I sat at a table and heard that the night was going to end early.

Another flash that I had.. Jason and Grant threw a lit match down a well in the basement of the house and it never landed or made a noise (I guess it wouldn't)

Back in the kitchen, on half it had tables (dining area, cafe style) like a resturaunt with a bar and stools. One of the other team members of had long black hair, and dark eyes, he stared at the mirror behind the bar and chanted in another language, it was demonic. His eyes got darker and a demon face showed up in the mirror. He turned around and looked at me and smirked.

Jason and Grant saw that on the video and wanted no part of it, and cut the night short.

"Normal People" scare me . LOL
I think the word Normal is used in society out of fear of the unknown.... because there is normal, and I agree... who is to say that the "Paranormal" isn't just Natural, ... so. Supernatural is probably the better word to describe it ; )
Thanks for being so enlightening... I love all the different viewpoints from our group members and that we encourage each other to think outside of the box.

I hate the word 'normal' whatever its form. It implies that things MUST act and work in a specific way. It looks at only ONE side of the coin.

I have always had a problem with the term 'paranormal' - it suggests that these experiences are only half normal.
Science cannot explain the placebo effect! It does not compute.
Science cannot explain science - the wave/particle experiment (Schrodingers Cat). A non-predictable experiment.
Air cannot be held in the hand - does it really exist?
What the hell is a Black Hole - are you kidding me? A lot of this type of stuff really is psychobabble, as far as I'm concerned.

For those of us who have peeked beyond the veil, it is as real as a whack in the face.

Jacy30, very fascinating!! Thanks for putting that into perspective for me. I still have a difficult time telling the difference in the astral plane.

I have never experienced ghosts during my day to day life, but I have experienced the communication of ghosts or spirits in between the conscious and unconscious states. As of yet I am not able to tell the difference as I can only hear them and saw one, only once.
Spirits I can sense when they are in the same room or area, but ghosts, I am not sure, I have yet to be able to tell the difference. In either case, the feeling is like someone walking right through you and the hairs in the back of your head stand up.
My chakras light up like light bulbs and I can feel the energy passing through. There are many astral planes so it's complex stuff. I do have some sensitivity to the energy and can tell weather it is of love or of negative energy. I am currenlty trying to practice tuning my self in more and see if my sensitivity will increase or degrease my learning curve.

Yes, there is a difference between Ghosts and Spirits. Ghosts are earthbound spirits that haunt locations or people. They may or may not know they are dead. Some are intelligent spirits that interact with the living. Some like to scare people on purpose. Others are just misunderstood. Some are considered "residual" because it is like leaving and imprint in time, like a movie that replays itself. Others hang on because they have committed suicide and feel guilty and are afraid of going to hell. Other's have other reasons for hanging on and haunting an area: They may have cursed a person or place, and pledged to haunt it, they may be looking for a lost lover, they may be trapped in a spot because they may have had a violent death, they may have murdered someone, they may feel guilty about something else and are afraid to cross over.
Spirits that are not earthbound have crossed over, but are not ghosts.
They are not trapped in any spot. They can visit us in dreams or while we are conscious, and we can see apparitions of them and communicate with them like a ghost. Their appearance is different than a ghost. A Spirit that has crossed over to the light will be surrounded by light, look younger and healthier and vibrant, where as an earthbound Ghost will look dark like a shadow, or may even still show the scars of how they died. Also, they walk on a different plane of existence. Spirits float, because they are not earthbound. Ghosts that are earthbound, can look like people and their feet are at the same level as the ground...and don't necessarily float. The other main difference, earthbound ghosts are restless spirits, unsettled, and unhappy, tormented, or torn between one place and another and unsatisfied with themselves. Spirits that have crossed over to the Light, are full of love and light and are complete in themselves.
Those are the main differences between Ghosts and Spirits.

The real freaky thing about it was, after I changed the use of my name, everything else about me and my life changed also. Slowly, over the next few years, every aspect of my life before had come to an end...including my relationship with my daughter.

I lost my job, my apartment, my daughter and I were seperated through circumstances beyond my control..she was 16 at the time..and everything in my life was now up in the air. It was like I was given a second chance or 'clean slate' of which to rebuild my life and apply what I have learned from the past to make changes and not make the same mistakes.
I feel like a brand new woman, totally different from who I was. I do miss my daughter and still keep in touch, but she blames me for everything. I pray that our relationship can be rebuilt even stronger this time.

I have precognitive dreams all the time. I always felt that my dreams were guiding me through life, step by step, notifying me or sending clues of major changes about to take place in my life. When I look upon the past decade and the crazy dreams I had during that time, I know that I was being prepared for something major about to take place. It's like I'm going through a transformation of sorts and much of it occurred through my dreams, if you can understand that. For example, I had a dream in 2003 which inspired me to change the use of my name. It made no sense on the surface, but after weeks of ponderance, I discovered what the dream was telling me and knew, without a doubt in my mind what I needed to do. Within several months after having the dream, I had changed my name and began establishing my life around it. A few years later, I made the connection between that dream and another dream I had in June of 2000. It is very freaky, but it is awesome. The universe communicates to me through my dreams. There is no coincidence. Everything happens for a purpose.

galaxy15 and jono7, thank you for sharing your point of view, it's all fascinating stuff isn't it? Science, I think, is catching up and I would like to get to know more about remote viewing. I did have one strange experience once, where I thought I felt like I was in the middle of a large city, somewhere like Time Square in New York, wile lying down resting on the couch, at the same time. I will have to explore that one some day.

Jacy30, you have no idea how good it feels to read words by someone that has so many similar experiences and is using the same language. I can really appreciate your boldness and how you are coming forward.

I have a new friend that is a security guard where I work. I see him when I work the weekends. He is also a type of ghost hunter and has instrumentation to measure things. He is also a believer as he has experience ghosts and has measured their existence with these devices. We have seen each other for 10 years, my time in the company, and never really struck up a conversation, until just recently. He shared his ghost hunting hobby with me and I my stories and why I do not watch horror movies. I told him I have already seen and spoken to the dead, I am already a believer, I do not need to experience ghosts or measure them. We have become good friends, turns-out we think alike and both have an open mind.

He says he is going to take me to a haunted place so that I can experience what it is to feel and hear a ghost as apposed to listening and seeing them from the astral plane but from this 3rd dimensional reality, something I never have, so I am open to the idea, and am even excited, as i will surely not be afraid.

Now, haven written all that, what is your perspective on ghosts percieved and noticed from our 3rd dimensional reality?

Are they an energy foot print that is left from high emotional energy?
Have they missed the divine light or the tunnel and lost their way?

Dannion Brinkley a man who has died several times and came back to write about it, has a second book titled, Secrets of the Light says he has seen thousands of them during one of his death transactions. He said they are stuck in a kind of limbo, where they have left an incomplete life and are repeating the last scene over and over, sort of their own world with all the physical surroundings of their last death. This is what I believe is the case, although I have not ruled out emotional energy foot printer either.

Hi Jacy30, thanks for sharing your reason for your interests and why. I can relate to what your righting about, your not alone, there are many of us with many similar experiences. It is too bad that we are so misunderstood by others. bevo1883 and BClady, thanks for sharing your stories also.


I will share one of my many stories, I no longer care of people think I am crazy, it's time to face and accept my spirituality, I hope others will too.

I once new a young teenager named Peter in high school. In my view, Peter was a very spoiled kid. He was an only child and seemed to receive everything. In high school he had a hot rod car and thought he was all that and just as tough. He lived about 5 blocks away from me, we both lived near a very large park and we used it often to play, he on one side, me on the other.

One day we were playing on the same side of the park on a baseball field. We were playing with other boys and we all were getting out of control on a baseball diamond throwing trash cans around and being reckless. Apparently we managed to get into some kind of primitive primate type frame of mind and we both started picking up a trash barrel and banging each other with it, from barrel to barrel. You see, Peter and I were also interested in the same girl in high school, so we become like rivals.

As we banged barrel to barrel I accidentally hit one of his exposed fingers that held the barrel on one side. I felt bad and said I was sorry, he became angry and used the incident to start a fight. By then my fighting skills were highly developed and it was over in seconds. I can still see Peters eyes and facial expression as he hit the ground unable to breath and in fear from the feeling of the inability to breath. I had knocked the breath out of him, it was the safest, fastest, and easiest thing I could do. I will never forget the look on his face and what I had done, I feel bad to this day.

Peter and I never crossed paths again, until he died. One night Peter showed up in my bedroom, completely lost, and disoriented. I could see him clearly, he was wearing a tee shirt and shorts. I then realized what had happened, Peter had died, and had lost his body. I tried to calm him down and asked him to go toward the light, and to follow or let it take him. I experienced this just as real and vivid as I am experiencing the typing of these words right now.

The next day, there were so many people sad in high school. I asked people what had happened, as I had temporarily forgot the experience. One student said, everyone is morning over Peter, he had drowned while swimming in a lake.

The reason for the detail story is that Peter and I had some history, to this day I feel sad that Peter and I did not become good friends and got to know each other. I have not seen or heard of Peter again, so I am in hope that he returned to the divine source and is at peace.

I'm not sure if I posted this in any other forum on this site, but here is an experience I'll never forget.

I had just arrived in Vancouver in January and was staying at a women's shelter. The women who reside there have told me stories of seeing an evil presence in one of the bedrooms downstairs and on the property outside. The room they say was haunted just happened to be the room where I was sleeping.
One morning, around 4:00am, I had what I thought was a nightmare. As I lay sleeping soundly, I felt an evil presence creep up and grabbed me from behind. It was trying to pull me to it. I struggled to free myself from its grasp but it wasn't giving up that easily. I began to chant a mantra; "I am in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, He won't let you do this to me!!" I said that three or four times and then bit down hard on my attacker. Finally, the thing resisted and laid dormant, dead.
At that point, I woke up startled and frightened at the same time. When I awoke, my bedsheet was in my mouth, my blanket held the form of a wrinkled human profile and my body was scortching hot!

Needless to say,... but I will anyway...i couldn't spend another night in that house!

I believe that what saved me from a total demonic possession that night was my true faith in the Lord.

Interestingly enough, I watch a weekly program called 'paranormal State'. This show deals with demonic possession of individuals and excorcisim. It is like a reality show. I watched a number of episodes where the parapsychologists call in a medium and a catholic priest to perform the excorcism.

I have to shake my head and chuckle when the priest comes in the room, dressed to the hilt in his clerical garb and collar, carrying his crucifix, bible and holy water. The excorcism begins and the priest is reading from a script out of the bible, as he tosses his holy water and waves his crucifix around the victim. It would turn out later that the demon they excorcised out of the victim would return again after everyone leaves.

IMHO, this is not true faith. True faith is when you can walk into the presence of an evil entity without the bible in your hand, the crucifix around your neck and all of the idolatry items used by the catholic church to ward off evil, and KNOW that the Lord is with you. The only thing that will save a victim of demonic possession is their own true faith in the Lord, not a synthesized version of it.

Williamsburg - Wren Building - Haunted by a French Soldier of the
revolutionary war-he died in this building when it was a makeshift
hospital for the wounded. Also, it was haunted by some unknown force,
and one of the inhabitants discovered the body of a 13 year old girl
buried in the walls.

Yorktown - Crawford Road - A woman hung herself from an overpass on
her wedding day. Her spirit has been seen her spirit, hanging in her
wedding dress. Also, African Americans were hung down the road.
There have been other stories about the part of the road where the
Tour Road crosses over Crawford Rd. There is a story that on some
nights that you can see a black lady in a white dress walk up on the
bridge onto the ledge, then she falls off and then she stops in mid
air and swings like she was hung. Also stories of the KKK hanging
black men from the bridge, and seeing a hooded figure at the top of
the bridge. There have also been stories of your car cutting out and
not starting. If you drove down it at night you could see someone
hanging from the bridge where someone was hung years ago and that cars
have shut off underneath the bridge

Bethel Manor - Langley Air force Base - Bethel Reservoir - What is now
covered by Bethel reservoir was once a Revolutionary War and Civil War
battlefield with many casualties buried there. Supposedly before the
Revolutionary War it was sacred ground to the PaMounkie Indians.
Several drownings have occurred there over the years, along with some
alleged kidnappings and rapes. One of the more famous drownings
happened the summer of '88. The aptly named Dewy Banks fell out of a
canoe and drown. No one actually witnessed the event but his body was
found several weeks later. Strange occurrences have been reported
there for years including hearing your voice called; strange fogs,
ball lightening, etc.

Gloucester - Rosewell Plantation - The Page Family Mansion built in
the early 1600's. Several generations lived in the mansion before it
burned down. Several walls are still standing from the 4-story
building. The graveyard for the family is off to the side of the
house, as part of the extensive grounds Many occurrences have been
reported; the drop in air temperature by a good 15 degrees or more,
apparitions, strange noises, the sound of slaves coming from the
fields, reportedly a young woman walks down the front steps every night.


Mathews - Old House Woods - These stories have been passed down for a
good 200 years. These instances have been recognized as the most
bizarre psychic phenomena ever recorded. Anywhere from swash buckling
pirates burring stolen gold; A ghost ship hovering over the woods;
British soldiers hiding colonial treasure during the revolutionary
war; A full Spanish galleon which vanishes in thin air;
Skeletons in knight's armor wielding threatening swords; Mysterious
groups of shovelers digging furiously late at night; to ghost horses
and cows appearing and disappearing before your eyes. All of these and
more have been seen at different times of the year. There has also
been a rumor going around of a witch that lets off a green light
flying through the trees. - February 2004 addition: 4 Eye-witnesses
have vowed never to return to this area of land. The woods got their
name from an old house that was in the center of them. The story
behind the house is unknown at this time. The house caught on fire and
then put its self out. Then a few years later it caught fire again and
burned to the foundation. There is one spirit that comes up out of the
water and walks along the beach towards the road. At first glance it
is a rather grey glowing figure dressed in worn pirate style clothing
if you are able to catch the face it is that of a skeleton. The
Spanish Galleon that comes in from the water hovering over the beach
and then above the woods. If you are on the beach and face the woods
you can see the grove in the tree line as to where the ship docks. You
can watch the ship hover there above the trees and watch as figures of
men get off the ship. The whole wooded area lights up and you can hear
digging and clanking of shovels.. There are 2 black headless dogs that
will come out of the woods and chase you. As well as jump onto your
vehicle or in the bed of your truck. The green light is truly
astonishing. It is more like a ball of light. That is so intense it
lights up everything it flashes 3 times for brief periods of time. but
doesn't distort your night vision when it passes.. Usually when you
see that light it is time to go. You have worn out your welcome on the
beach. If you remain things will start to attack your vehicle. There
are also accounts of people vanishing in those woods. They say that if
you get too close to the treasure you never return. Various people
over the years have gone in searching and never made it back.

Surry - Bacons Castle - A mysterious fireball appears from a nearby
cemetery and circles the castle then enters through one of the
chimneys and disappears in the basement kitchen
