NOT A STORY BUT ATRUE INCIDENT
An Indian man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to India on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Indian man hands over the keys
and documents of new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.
The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.
Two weeks later, the Indian returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5,000" ?
The Indian replies:
"Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"
Ah, the minds of the Indians...Incredible.

Hi spirituallyawake, I'm here for two purposes: To make contacts I might visit in Spain and to improve my Spanish. I'd like to pass on something that I found extremely helpful.Using 'Google translate' a certain way really helps in learning word position, usage of pronouns, correct verb tense endings and more. The way I use it when talking to a Spanish speaker is type into Google's left hand box in English while the right hand box is set to automatically translate into Spanish simultaneously as I'm typing in English. But the neat thing is that It is translating individual phrases rather than whole sentences or paragraphs. This enables me to put phrases into memory rather than just words.
Oh, and if you don't know where to find google translate: on the upper right of goodle's search page select the 9 dot icon (I guess that is their apps symbol. That icon will produce a drop down menu of things to select; go to the bottom and select 'more' and you will get another drop down menu; go to the bottom of that second drop down menu and select 'even more'; now you'll get ...ALL... of their various applications. I am similar - have a nice collection of great-tasting recipes, but when it comes to basics, I don't know as much.Well, I see a lot has been posted since I last visited... and I hope to try some of these recipes one day, as well as post some. I've got some terrific ones I've tried over here in the U.K. since moving here from the U.S. In the process, I've learned I have to do a lot of converting - metrics, substitutes, cookers that use numbers(like the one I have here), as well as learn terms like hob and cooker
.But I do plan to contribute - I just want to take the time to write out 2 versions - U.S. and UK. Also, though it appears sensci may not still be here, I have some of those easy recipes with common ingred. that taste great-will eventually post, too.
p.s.I almost forgot I was in a group- didn't it used to show in a person's profile - like Forums, Videos, etc.?

Hi,... Sony A100 and Minolta Hi5,...why: both was 2de. handed at a good price at the time, Hi5 a bit smaller when on walk,...
a big plus for the Sony are that old Minolta lens just work perfect with it and are of very good quality and good price and are 'easy' on battery,...
