There are so many scammers out there with fake or stolen pictures and it is hard to find what or who you are dealing with. I just hope they would all just be darn honest.

I absolutely agree to u... when u have communication for a month or so & one day u find out he was a fake dishonest guy, it really hurts... Makes me want to think twice before really keeping in touch. Are there any tips to know the difference between the good & bad? I try no to answer to messages saying I saw ur profile & he actually hasn't cuz we get to know thru the 'Who's Viewed Me'...
anymore tips?

I like messing with the scammers....giving them other scammers e-mail/message addies, asking questions.
I have blocked many, but like everyone else that is honest, I just want to talk with honest people...some one seriously wanting what I want and working toward that end goal....

I have ran into more scammers on this site than any other site . I guess its because its a free site. the scammers probably stay away from the pay sites. Why cant people just let people be. Everyone trying to scam money from people.

The sad fact is you never know who who you rally are talking to, until you meet them. I live in Australia, and to date I have chatted with one Aussie, the rest of the men who "appear" to be interested in me are all from the USA, and all strangely enough in the Military, I won't deny I am looking, but for a friendship first, then if something were to happen then all well and good.

There is one gent I like a lot, and would love to get to know him better. In some email's he talks to me one on one, in others I feel as though I am one of many.

dunno

I do know that love can be found on the internet, as my last relationship, lasted 11 years, while we didn't meet on a dating site, it was over the internet.

I am such a noob when it comes to this site, but I would like to believe I am not an idiot. But once again how can you really tell if you are the only one, who is being courted? I would like to have faith that I am the only one.

But then my common sense kicks in, and there is just no way of knowing for sure. Which breaks my heart. :(

I agree with you I'm so tired of scammers!! I'm just new to this group and hope i can find honest and REAL people here!!

I always report the fake profiles so I think we should all do the same trying to reduce the number of scammers!applause

I have a few things to tell if it's a fake profile

1 the picture is a white person and blond hair, but they say they are a black African now that's really funny.

2 Americans do not write like this for example ( I will like to know you) but these days I can't be sure.

3 when you get a message, the first thing to write back is did you read my profile where it says I will not send money to anyone, and you will know if they are really interested !

4 scammers avoid answering your questions, ask the same question again,

5 don't leave this site to go to there email address or use your email and send more pictures, there's something wrong if they can't use this same site to communicate with you.

there's a lot more but you get the picture.

Yes, scammers are numerous. I do not put picture because I do not want any scammer to see it. I think if somebody is honest he does not mind my lacking photo.

Wow. Absolutely, I agree. I am new on this site and it becomes scary. It is something that I need to think about it.

I have had many scammer e-mails but You can tell easy without even reading them. most start with something like:Hi beautyful or call you sweety. There are many tel tel signs of a scammer. But there are the select few that are better at it then most and thoes are the ones you have to watch out for. You can correspond with rhem a long time before you find out that there is something rotten in Denmark.... Just remember lady's to keep your boots on and your radar focused. Have fun but be safe.

Do I have an "L" on my forehead? doh
Yeah, am one of the idiots that fell for someone on CS, thinking that it was real. No I didnt go so far as to send money but got my heart bruised big time.

Whats worse is that he convinced me to stop talking to another person and I think I lost a good friend.crying

Best advice is: Get them onto Skype with you so that you can meet face to face & strictly married man hours only. Everyone now days has a built in webcam grin & strictly in the comfort of their own home (& not anywhere else). A guided tour of their home followed by opening up their bedroom cupboards will soon give you the facts. If they are as genuine as they claim grin They should then be more than willing to prove it grin as too should you. Fair is fair! teddybear teddybear

sorry, but I fail to see how this will prove anything. Or maybe I just dont know enough about scammers.
So scammers are human too right? They are not robotic programms is what I mean. So what is stopping a scammer from "feeding" you all the info you require in order to get you to 'take the bait' ... Scammers have homes, scammers are of different ethnicity, scammers live and breathe, eat and sleep... I even believe they have feelings too ... but scammers are crafty and have a knack of chiselling away at the heart and purse strings of decent vulnerable folks specifically online.... BUT that does not mean that scammers are restricted to being online ... Iv heard of people being scammed ofline as well ...

Question is ... are we ever safe? Dont allow your heart to beat your brain and common sense into submission... get to know the person and his/her family and friends well before letting down your guard ...
