I had been intrigued by the sound of this movie since I first heard about it but I have only just gotten' around to watching it as I was told it was very violent. Don't like violent movies!! However, as it was rated a "12" I decided to give it a go.

War and imminent death squeezing profound poetical and philosophical out-pourings from ordinary men. Nick Nolte's melt down and the taking of the bunker are two of the best war scenes ever.

Wonderful film! I was surprised to know that this is a story of a real scientist who lived close to us - in Princeton - and died recently! I was always sure that the borders of the mind are so blurry......
