falling asleep and right into a nightmare,
it was unlike any other.
I saw a life unfold
right before my eyes,
it was as if I was watching a movie,
a movie of someone's life.
I saw the bruises, the pain
She cried out but no one could hear her.
I wanted to close my eyes, but couldn't.

I saw the pills lying everywhere,
the alcohol used to carry out her plan.
then I saw the blade,
I literally felt the blade slide across my skin
blood freely flowing, masking the pain,
as if I was there
I wanted to block it out, but couldn't.

I tried to see this girl,
she was very lonely, scared, and lost.
what happened next, I could barely watch.
He used her, abused her, left her to clean up.
"Please let her go" I cried, begged and pleaded.
I could see her pain,
it ws heartwrenching.
I looked around for someone, anyone
to help this girl, but there was no one.
I watched her letting herself go,
dying from the inside out.
no more pain, no more heartache.
I tried to grab her hand, pull her up
she was falling fast...
I saw her sould being carried away...
deep despair in my heart.
I suddenly woke up from my nightmare.
