Journey of Sobriety

Journey of Sobriety

As I begin a journey of a thousand miles,
I take a good look at my surroundings,
It's amazing how I've never seen those flowers before,
And how I've never seen the light dance across the morning dew on the grass,
It was a forgotten sensation this clearheadedness,
My mind was fogged for so long by my addictions,
Oh,
But not today and surely not tomorrow,
Although it's not always the case,
I journey through sobriety effortlessly today,
I see you struggling my sister,
Let go of your shame,
Throw away your guilt,
Come...
Take my hand and travel with me,
Do you see those flowers over there?
