Is Friend Just A Word

Can anyone ever put into actions or words what is a friend, and the real meaning behind this six letter word. Could it be that person you grew up with, and have always kept in touch by one way or another itleast three times or more every week, maybe so.
The person you see on a daily basis, and exchange secret information with giggles, in between every other word. Maybe this person is your other hafe in life, and have vowed to spend your lives together, until death do you part.
Someone you may get together with twice a month, for lunch or dinner. To me a friend, a true and honest friend, no matter how short or long you have known one another, is the person you can count on in the worst of times in your life, or the best of times in your life. He or she always seems to have the right exact answer that either one of you need and expect to here, in the good and bad times that life brings.
They will always be honest with you no matter what, knowing their answer could cause your feelings to be hurt but that is the honesty that a friend brings into a friendship.

I'm sorry you lost your friend and I totally get what you are saying - I'm lucky enough to have a number of true friends - I'd go as far as to say one of the luckiest people in the world...
