The thunderous roar of a mighty waterfall cascading down in huge torrents of liquid fury smashing into the water below creating mists of water droplets that transform the sunlight into a rainbow
The awesome power of a thunderstorm at night with jagged bolts of lightning that split the darkness and light up the surroundings with blinding dazzling intensity

Serenity Thank you. I appreciate your kind comment. Nature has several sides which includes its awesome power as against its peaceful serenity as you know. Each has its own beauty. Best wishes! Have a nice day!

Redex You are right. I thought about the "rainbow" part when I was composing the piece but decided to stay with the 4 line format. I will add a special line to the first 4 just for you:
"that convert the sunlight into a rainbow".
Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for your comment!

thank you kind sir but your poem stands on its own truly it was just a thought in my head. I have seen the waterfalls create a rainbow. The thunderstorms alone bring colour to our skies, blinding and dazzling frightening too as you say.

nice socrates, this reminded me of a family visit years ago ... while hiking, we came upon a gorgeous fall

Hi Redex
I decided to bring in the "rainbow" which I had also thought about before and adjusted the "waterfall" piece accordingly. I also adjusted the "thunderstorm" to match. Thanks for your suggestion. Have a nice day!

Just had to bring this fine poetry back it is just as brilliant as the first reading so long ago
I love nature as you well know. However, I'm not extremely fond of thunderstorms. If anyone is brave enough to stand and look - it is beautiful. But - I'm not one of those brave ones.
