Oh No! Yesterday happened again bringing with it todays and tomorrows; years even only fleetingly with wisdom Older but nowhere near who I`d like to be Laying in the grass, maybe the ants will come carry me away to somewhere new, somewhere better. I`ll still be me but better. Happier, maybe I`ll even smile. I know how! Reborn into a totally new state of mind, believe in myself and uplift my crumbling universe. Yeah! Let`s do that...if only I could But this universe I live in thinks it`s in charge

About this poem:
Written tonight 4-20-11 after my poetry reading, fighting to be myself in a world that`s trying its best to leave me in a perpetual state of depression

Can I just call you Soq...explained why earlier. Firstly you write lovely poems and I know bad times always seems to get us started with poetry. But you are young and alive...there are people who would kill for that. Does that help?

Thank you, soquiliquay, for posting your poem. Since I feel almost the same as you do, I took the liberty to write this playing with your words:
I could still be me, but happier, if only this universe I live in would think it's in charge to carry me away to somewhere new, somewhere better...
I hope you don't mind and like it. Best wishes to you.

I could still be me,
but happier,
if only
this universe I live in
would think it's in charge
to carry me away
to somewhere new,
somewhere better...
I hope you don't mind and like it. Best wishes to you.
