Peggy and the Owl

Out under the stars that night
Peggy walking she had a fright
she saw eyes from a tree
as big as bottle tops
they did appear to be
enough to make her scream

Hey Peggy, don't you scream
it's an owl in leaves of green
"tah wit tah woo"
you hear it say
every night when you pray
"hoot hoot" it's that owl again

"Hoot Hoot"
gets on my toot
like to boot it
with my foot
it ain't ever cute
when it says "hoot hoot"

From it's root
the oak tree grows tall
if I had a remote
I could use the mute
"hoot hoot" – well it
gets on our toot
