Here we are a few years on
no poems have I written not even one
life has changed quite drastically
we now have a wonderful loving family.

Life's dealt it's ups and downs
lots of smiles, lots of frowns
all could have been simple and sweet
instead sent us tears of success and defeat.

Death came close and let itself be known
has kept it's distance 'tho' not forever gone
Life's light can fade in the blink of an eye
this sad but true thought has lead us to cry.

Life's so precious,unpredictable and free
as much as you and I will enable it to be
so the moral of our life...the philosophy?
"Live life to it's fullest and take each day by day"
