woe is me

Woe is me oh woe is me.
I have nothing for I lost it all.
Yet I have learned blessed humility.
High and mighty was I before my fall.
Now I am down, yea, below them all.
I am in a deep dry well.
I have no rope to climb.
God saved me from hell.
I have yet to be rescued from my plight this time.
All of my life will he guide my hand, just as he does while I write this rhyme.
No fear shall I have, for the Lord will provide.
For just as surely as he broke up the earth.
And the seas he did divide.
Over me he has watched, yea even from birth.
The Lord judges all, He judges our worth.
He gave his only son so that I may live.
When my time comes and my death is nigh.
I will thank the Lord again, for what he did give.
I will not fear when the time comes that I must die.
Yea, no fears will I have, I go to meet him on high.
In paradise we will live forever, without end.
Well shall live with him, our Lord divine.
His message with his son did he send.
Worship him I will, and for all time.
Greatest of all is this God of mine.
Guiding my feet down his path true.
Down his path I will stumble but never tarry.
As sure as he made the sky of blue.
When his servant stumbles and cannot walk, him will he carry.
With his power in my life, I am ever merry.
Good is my Lord to every upright man.
He is as water, or a breath of clean air.
Blessed are the people who follow his plan.
His path I may follow, for he paid my fare.
Each day he shows me how much he does care.
So much to me he did teach.
Blind I was, and he made me see.
The rest of my life of him will I preach.
Please hear me sisters and brothers, as I do tell thee.
My God is the greatest, for from hell he saved me.
