Foolish Girl

Didn’t you know when somebody likes you
They write to you
They want to do right by you
They’re willing to live their life for you
They’re willing to fight for you
They invite you to share a life and take flight to
Places only dreams are made of
Their approach is gentle and not rough
They’ll give you truth and not the fraudulent stuff
They’ll prove to you that finding true love isn’t tough
Only for your warm embrace would they lust
They would reveal to you their own at risk of being crushed
They would travel for miles
Just to see you smile
They’re intrigued by your physique and also your style
Even if they’re reserved they’ll accept you being wild
We all have a past so they can also welcome your child
If the feeling of interest wasn’t mutual they would be in denial
Pleasant thoughts of you are in their memories filed
For you they would wait and be patient
If they couldn’t find what you needed, they would create it
But come on lets face it
Either you’re a little slow
You don’t care to let it show
Or you’re a foolish girl who really just doesn’t know.
