I PROMISE
Confused not knowing what she wants of her true concern.
She’s confused not knowing what he wants,
Slowly her heart turns, surely her heart burns.
Sing amongst her self, songs of morn.
A morn for help.
Soon trapped in what maybe mistake.
She turns her face,
For another in wait, but is it too late?
For the sake of love doves cry.
No kisses just hugs, a farewell, a good by.
As she pulls away he sighs.
Two similar paths that pass each other in one night.
In one night two lives change.
Because these options brought forth will he ever be the same?
And if ever given the chance, he would feel no shame
Over& over in his brain he hears her sing.
One offers love, the other only offers a ring.
Desperately holding back his true self,
Showing not what lies inside.
Pretending to be nonchalant, he can not decide.
In perception his first impression was nothing of his true like.
Standing behind a wall built for no woman to break.
He opens the door…..
She turns her face,
For another in wait, but is it too late?
Minutes turn to hours, and hours turn to days.
Still no reply, no reason why, not a word, nothing to say.
Am I cursed?
Did each verse mean nothing?
Not yet,
Not yet hurt, but in search of something.
Her minds open to many options, and many men.
Her heart closed and her want thin.
Wondering what lies lie behind that grin.
He with much in common NEEDS to know if it’s pretend.
Allowing the other to hide you,
He in common dreams of being inside you,
Before the other brides you.
A soft kiss on the neck- the taste
A hug good by- the grace.
She turns her face,
For another in wait, but is it too late?
