Love after Death
Things are just not the same these days.
Burn to fight, yearn to love- yet not so much.
Only violence remains,
Under my skin like veins,
Through which warm blood once rushed.
Among the broken hearts dashed and shattered,
Strewn about, wind-swept, and scattered,
Wanders the ghost of my humanity, now laid to dust.
What I have left of myself, these small pieces-
Cannot bear the weight of these memories.
I am dead as I am, even as you cling to me still.
Break me down, bury me here, and let me go.
In the morning, this empty shell,
Will be reanimated once again,
Infused with the promise of a new dream.
I will chase the sun into the ocean,
And steal its very last ray of brilliant light from the horizon.
With a fistful of heaven's light and a heart full dreams,
I will stand in audience of 1000 stars,
With the ocean gathered about my feet,
And the mountains a mantle about my shoulders.
Life will awaken and meet me at water's edge.
And together, in the glow of the moon,
With the dust of other worlds,
We will paint a masterpiece.

Forgive me for being so forward; but, you my dear are absolutely stunning. May I have the pleasure of making your acquaintance? I would be most honored...
Break me down, bury me here, and let me go.
In the morning, this empty shell,
Will be reanimated once again,
Excellent write.
