Quarter Tree

Hey bud.....

You left a Quarter on my Tree,
I found it the next morning shinning brightly.

When the sun hits it, the reflection is so bright,
Which will remind me of that special night.

It is a reminder of my friend Rodney,
A Friendship that will last an eternity.

It was the day after Thanksgiving in 1999,
The day after the Cowboys spanked the Dolphins behind.

Through the Heat, the Cold and the Pouring Rain,
Your friendship quarter will always remain.

What a cool and special thought,
A friendship like ours, can never be bought.

If everyone had a quarter in their tree,
Just think, how happy this world would be.

It's time to stop the violence and treat people right,
So, leave a quarter on a friends tree tonight.
