With heart against mind you find yourself drawn to that love's tale spinning... forming ... That hope for its happy ending increasingly growing ...
Yet often, not as simple as that ... Heart's unfounded fears ... mind's tormenting demons can conspire against love's bud where it's at ... Stifled of light before it gets the chance to grow ... Denied the chance to blossom and its seeds to sow ...
You hold on as devotedly as you can ... Fight the damning cold winds that threaten your heart for this man ... But like a slippery hand, it slides out of your loving grasp, The birthing bond, as surely, gets unclasped ... Still ... not like Freya you'd wish to be.. blamed on love that hindered her with clarity to see ... For it's fears, bitterness, or hate that blights the eyes to go blind, from letting the light of mind and heart to shine through like a guiding beacon ... the homeward path to find ...
The poem's title need not be so , for as long the delicate balance we remember, accept, and know ... Our reasoning is that which whereto should steer us, with love's brightness from the heart gently assisting ... To help us through what hinders awaiting ... Where thereby lies the wisdom of this delicate equilibrium, which ... if not done ... will time and again cause heartbreaking delirium ...
