Wishing
I wish there was a sign
To tell me where to go,
You know that I’d be
Waiting at your door.
I wish I only knew
What it is you desire,
So that I would know
Should I start a fire?
I only wish that I
Could cover the bases,
Avoid all the queens
I’d rather have aces.
I also wish that I
Could end this charade
I want to be settled
Not on a crusade.
Here’s to my friend
In Sofia, Bulgaria,
I hardly know you,
But I think I could take care of ya.
This is the part
Where my poem has to end,
If nothing else
You’ve got a friend.

About this poem:
I was at work and lines kept popping in my head. Although I was extremely busy, I kept grapping pieces of paper and writing it down. The woman I wrote this about had a very nice profile, that just stuck in my mind. I hope she takes it as a compliment, and doesn't think I'm a wacko,LOL
