Two But Just One Heart

Hidden in my heart behind a smile
theres loneliness,vast emotions I
can no longer suppress.
So close and yet so far to grasp
but nothing seems worthy,I understand
why Shakespeare could not compare his
love to a summers day.
I miss your breath on my neck, the touch
of your fingers on my skin and the feel
of your heart beating next to mine.
A gentle word is all I ask,like a spark
of light it will illuminate my soul and
as each sound goes deeper,it will only
be you that makes me whole.
A stranger you were once,with a gentle
look you once took my hand, now that time
has passed........
We were once two hearts, now a stranger
.....Just one heart......

About this poem:
Two hearts one love then it breaks and its feels so hard to understand
and in the end all that survives is the memories of two but just one heart.

Hi, The_Philosopher,
I miss your breath on my neck, the touch... This tender poem shows, 'though a relationship may die, love still survives...
