he will not let me leave, everytime i stand to go misery offers me more tea, sit he'd say i have loads to tell sure whats the rush. Oh misery let me get on my way, for the sun is shinning outside and in here is dull and grey, i want to go see happiness in the beautiful fields and play, But misery he just shakes his head and tells me this is where i must stay, my misery loves company and he keeps me locked away.
Reminds me of my friend. He didn't eat right or exercise and has lost his eyesight to diabetes. We used to have fun together, now all I do is type on his keyboard for 10 minutes to an hour and he kicks me out. Diebetics have crappy dispositions, so I'm more than happy to leave.

Hi DaveQ
Misery loves Company
Loved the title of your poem
Four years ago I decided to rid myself of misery... lol As the old saying goes...show me your Company and I will tell you who you are. Surround yourself with people who are positive... and it does rub off -after- awhile. Enjoyed reading your poem Thank you for posting your thoughts
