sitting in the sunshine thinking of you and me wondering what it will be like this first meeting of ours full of mixed feelings running a little scared yet my heart beats in anticipation I'm in a spin as I wait for you then I see you walking towards me you smile at me and all doubts vanish I draw close to you reaching out you take me in arms and hug me the world outside disappears as we drift away into ours could this be our new start can love really be possible maybe we could try to find out I must admit I am not sure So where to go from here? Take each day as it comes? Or let it go and move on? doubting if I am ready not sure if I can share nor if I even want too alone so long I have found I like my own space able to do just what I want not having to consider another's needs do I really want to change all this that, yes that is the big question

About this poem:
can you ever be ready? Life is all about taking chances or passing them by. In this particular case I walked away
Hi, shadow1950, While there is hope in each new meeting , the conception that we can change another (or even ourselves) to a great degree often yields to our experience. Two people will change, whether together or apart, that's what living does; but, that either can change in the way the other wants is another matter, entirely. Thank you for causing us to ponder the big question with you.

Hi Shadow
We can never know what or whom we might have met down a road we chose not to travel - or whether that road would have led to disappointment or happiness.
Nothing in life is without its uncertainties. A nice write.
