blasting klaxons burst out
noise clambers all around
pollution fouls the air

screeching brakes
petrol fumes harsh
engines revving

tall dank buildings
shutting out the light
sidewalks full of trash

smog choking
filthy windows
grime covered walls

people rushing
pushing, shoving
heading nowhere fast

dirt and filth everywhere
people teeming like bugs
this is civilisation?
