About this poem:

America Idol has a contestant named Lazaro Arbos who has a stuttering problem. He doesn't have a problem when he sings, just when he tries to talk. He is very brave to get up there and do what he does, it is inspirational. I have voted for him in the past, but right now I'm voting for Janelle Arthur.

It's true, I had a former co-worker with the
same stuttering problem, only in public.
By phone he sounded normal or when he had to
page someone...

yyyyou ssaid iit vvvverrrry we--ll. I attended a concert where Mel Tillis sang, he has the problem you wrote about. His concert was one of the best I have enjoyed. Recently I received the news letter from AARP which contained an article about music therapy being successful in treating Alzhiemer's disease. In some cases, it was found in order to get the patients to take their medicine, the attendant would sing the instructions to the person and it helped. studecar

studecar, thanks for your comment. I forgot Mell Tillis name, but I do remember that story. I think it's neat that music is helping Alzheimer's patiets. I have visited an Alzheimer's clinic in Minneapolis. I remember the old lady looking like a china doll, it is truely a horrible disease. This is a woman of above average means unable to enjoy what she had worked for all her life.
