I have loved you for as long as I can remember
I married you when I was just 17
My childhood Sweetheart
I gave you 25 years of my life
Then I lost you to your addictions
Slowly I watched you fade away
The death of your love for me
Left a huge hole in my heart
Days have turned into months, into years
I still miss the love we once knew
My love for you will never die
My life is better now
Free of lies, betrayal, and abuse
I found myself, when I lost you
Life is good
