About this poem:
Video games have come a long way since Pong came out in the late 70's. I have spent a good number of my free hours playing them. I have two tvs in my living room. One to watch dvds, vhs' and tv, and the other to play video games. Sometimes I'll listen to my music on my Xbox jukebox that holds 100 albums. I mostly have favorite songs on there.
I think I od on ms pacman in the 80s. Lol that was by far my favorite game along with phonex. I play games occationally but just dont have time ...my whole life in my teens was rollerskating at usa I was a rinkrat and into speedskating and of course video game's...I still like the old school games they just have a fun corneyness to them lol ty 4 sharing brings back memories,,,

Hi, mcradloff, A few years ago I wrote a poem entitled 'The Game" about video games and life written for my son. Your write brought back memories of this and my late mom giving my son his first Nintendo and games. They do have a most powerful pull on many. Thanks for sharing.

Some of these games you mentioned is pretty outdated. But they are still pretty cool games.
darkhorse555, thanks for your comment. I can't think of any zombie video games that I have. I used to teach school and they had a demo of doom on this computer disc, the kids loved that game. I have a hard time remembering where I've been and navigating areas, so role playing games arn't too fun for me.
cherryreggae, thanks for the comment. I was playing Ms. Pacman this morning, it is a great game. Back when I first played it in 1981, I would spend 50 cents on this game, 50 cents on Mt. Dew, and 50 cents on pizza Combos after I was done bowling three games.
gnj4u, thanks for your comment. I remember when I was growing up that the Nintendo was a joint purchase between me and my nephew Shane. I remember playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back then.
Poetnumber1, thanks for your comment. I do like the outdated titles the most. The newest game I own is a Nintendo DS game Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?
