NATURALLY
Are you going my way
It's such a lovely day
and I'm unashamed to ask this question today
For I've set myself free
I'm not going to hide
What I feel, what I need
For someone to be at my side
Gender shouldn't divide us into
attitudes fit to our roles
For this - society's purpose
dehumanizes our souls
So let's feel free and act
like who we really are
Honesty's my way of life
I'm always near, never far.

I wrote this poem to speak out against stereotypical images and roles that abound in our world which unfairly label people and the "roles" they play in society's eyes. I feel that everyone deserves peace and happiness in their lives and should be treated with respect. We are all born into this world to be loved and accepted equally.
