Lightning flashed in the sky
Causing her to utter a frightened cry
Thunder followed with a roar
As the waves crashed upon the shore
It was night and very dark
She shook and her heart was beating hard
Feeling like a small child again
She could hear her heart over the wind
The storm began to wane
There was no more sound of rain
The clouds began to clear
Low on the horizon the moon appeared
But wait – there was a bright white arc in the sky
Looking up at the dark as a background with a sigh
She knew at once the arc was a white rainbow
Lighting up the sky with a bright white halo
Feeling blessed to have seen this rare gift
She went out and watched it from the cliff
Knowing she was no longer alone
For her Father’s love to her was shown

Thanks for your compliment.

Re the poem I posted yesterday and later deleted - you asked if it referred to Bamburgh in the North East of England: You were correct and Bamburgh Castle can justly claim to be the jewel in the Northumbrian crown.
Actually, there is an amazing history to the place including the incredible courage of Grace Darling - the daughter of the Farne Islands lighthouse keeper, who in 1838 was instrumental in the rescue of nine members of the stricken Scottish steamer the 'Forfarshire' - braving incredibly rough seas in a four man rowing boat as she did so, as the lifeboat from nearby Seahouses could not be put out to sea due to the stormy conditions.
Should your travels ever take you to that neck of the woods, you must visit the Grace Darling museum which is situated in Bamburgh.
Best wishes
