Me. Im free. Free. To be me. Firey.cocky.confidendent me.i wonder where where my life will turn as i gaze upon the sun i burn. So yet i wait to where ile be, to hope and expect to find a man who let me be me.
As a non-Japanese foreigner in Japan, that is something I face every day. There is an unwritten rule on expectations, obligations and cultural customs in every society/community. To most western cultures, the ability to use words to convey feelings, opinions, disappointments, anger etc is emphasized. In most Japanese cultures, the ability to be silent, composed, feel the other person's thoughts before speaking is often emphasized.
The rules of the heart are often unwritten but when someone crosses the lines, it shows in the eyes and body languages. An unfathomable subject to those who doesn't make theories about it and a fascinating topic to poets who aspire to write about it.
Offline or online, the unwritten rule is there but we could only sense it more clearly offline, in a face-to-face meeting.
